Talk guidelines

The ideal talk should be:
  1. Scientific: Your talk should be about some interesting area of science or scientific research.
  2. Aimed at... undergraduates who don't necessarily study a closely related subject. It should be scientific in nature, but not too technical!
  3. Personal: What have you done with science? Your talk could be about an internship or project you've done, or an area of science that you have researched independently.
  4. Inspiring: There may be some technical detail, or some results, but the idea is not to lecture people on science. A great talk will inspire people to explore this area in more depth and expand their scientific horizons.
  5. Interdisciplinary: The aim is to blur the boundaries between sciences. The perfect talk would combine different areas of science, or try to relate one area to another.
